Hindi Movies which have been "Inspired" :)

-:VB:-
Every now and then we come across a few Hindi movies that we think (well, we know) are take offs from English, French, Tamil, or some other movies, or even Remakes. We prefer to call them as 'Copies', but, however, the makers of these movies address them as "Inspired" movies....
Many movies in this list are some that you may have seen, some you may have not. Some Movies are entirely copied scene by scene,  some are lift-offs, some have copied plots, and some are remakes.... while the others are simply "INSPIRED". All mixed with the complete melodrama, some with over-or-under acting, copied music and extremely revamped to suit the Indian Standards....

YOU MAY BE DISSAPPOINTED TO SEE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIES IN HERE.

I have found some interesting ones and edited, compiled, put in a lot of new stuff, and made this list... however this is not the complete list (GOD knows how many others are out there), but if you know about any other movies, Do get back to me, I'll include them in this list (and give you credit as well).... AND don't forget to give your feedback....
Do tell me, if my posts are WISE or WICKED... :)

"Rajni-Mania" is in the Air

-:VB:-

As if there is any other movie that has gone beyond Rajnikanth's latest flick 'Robot'. Seen it recently and I was just so surprised to see that Director Shankar and his team have done the Impossible. I mean it was impossible to get something original, of that class, in a country where there is less scope for animation and vfx. I was surprised to see the public's reaction towards Rajni's previous hit 'Sivaji-The Boss', and I couldn't understand why.. So, I decided to give this movie a try. Pardon me, but I can't resist criticizing this movie. All the fans had to wait for a long time for this - the costliest movie in India - A movie, for which it was said could not be made in India. So here goes..

# Plus:
* Rajnikant - The name speaks for itself. The Legend of the Indian Film Industry.
The movie seems to rely entirely upon the shoulders of Rajnikanth for his Brilliant Acting, and the Script.

* Aishwarya Rai - just looks so stunningly beautiful in this movie. What enhances her beauty is the bright and vibrant photography and some superb angles and close-ups. Why in the world did she marry a guy like Abhishek anyway? Anyone would've fallen for her.. But lets leave that aside.. Her acting was simply superb as well.
* Mind-Blowing Animation, and Visual effects - Mesmerising. Two thumbs up. So much creativity, specially with those clone arrangements, and that Giant Robot formation.
* Stunts - I didn't even know that this level of stunt, could be achieved in India. [Where the heroes and stuntmen alike tend to overact, giving so much expressions, that the stunt seems like a freaking comedy show...] But lets leave that aside.. Anyway, it was the Brain of 'Peter Hein' of Ghajini fame, who did this.
* Animatronics - Though this technology is the 1st in India, I think the guys did it beautifully. It has earlier been used in movies such as 'The Terminator', etc..
* Story - Good. Well a plot that depicts the reasons of Robots co-existing in  the society, and the effects and ill-effects have been explained beautifully. The story makes use of some proper logical reasoning and provides scientific background to this flick, thus explaining why the Robot - Chitti, as it is called can function that way.
* Direction - Shankar has done a beautiful job and the final product is worth appraisal. A true sci-fi movie in an Indianized Manner. It makes "Koi Mil Gaya" and "Krishh" look like crap.

#Minus:
* A.R. Rahman's Music - It seems to me that this guy has lost it completely. Is he gone nuts? Some pathetic songs, and somewhat OK scores. Nothing exciting. One track almost sounded like the Title track from that movie "Dum"[Vivek Oberoi]. Only a couple of the tracks sounded good. Average :( Well the good thing is, that at-least the Background Score was great.
* The initial model of Robot resembles 'Sonny' from the Hollywood flick iRobot - it also resembles the stunts that Robot does while saving people from fire, and the painting It does.
*I think that it was a bit conceptualised based on another Hollywood Film 'The Bicentennial Man'.
*The Second half was a bit of a drag.
*The Mosquito scene was really weird.

#Overall:
A Sci-fi drama, with a dash of humor, and a Romantic love-story make it a worthwhile success. I'd say Rajnikanth Rocks. If you did not see it, you missed something really AWESOME.

Upcoming Movies v2.0

-:VB:-

Hey people, I'm back.... this time with even greater news for the marvel comics fans out there. I had these posters hanging around my hard drive for a while. The pic is from the San-Diego Comic Con 2010 [those who don't know what it is, search for it]. It shows the much awaited, hyped, highly anticipated movies off all times - Captain America, Thor, and... YES!..the Avengers.

For many of these - casting is over,  some are nearing completion and to be released in the months to come. while for others, filming has started.

Sin City 2, MIB 3D, Hancock 2, are being made. There are some rumors about Robocop, Iron Man 3, War Machine, Avengers 2, Hawkeye, Ant-man, i-Robot 2, Superman: Man of steel, and Justice League being made.

A Spiderman reboot has been planned.will be making its way. It will be having an entirely different cast, a totally different storyline, and will be completely different from the other 3 spiderman movies.

I just can't wait for these to pop up...
