Ben Affleck as Batman

As many are already aware, Ben Affleck will be playing Bruce Wayne/Batman  in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. Since the news got out, there has been a lot of photoshopped images of Ben as Batman. Check out the best ones below.

 

Lets hope this Batman is unlike the George Clooney one. Hopefully with Snyder, Goyer, and Nolan this time, hope things go well for this reboot!

Who will play Lex Luthor?

This supervillain knows no limits when it comes to villainy. Superman's arch nemesis, has evolved and changed, has been modified, been killed and even revived. Earlier introduced as a villain, then as an Industrialist, and at one stage he even became the President of the USA.

Why am I teliing all this? Because the auditions for Lex are going on! You read it right. There are a lot of speculations about the villain being featured in the 'Man of Steel' sequel, yet unnamed, and who will play this character.

Joaquin Phoenix is in the loop with the studios, and chances are that they might hire him. He has a certain evil-yet-genius appeal to him, which is a reflection of Lex.

Also, DC might go with Michael Rosenbaum, who played the role of Lex in the Superman TV series 'Smallville' and Clark Kent/Superman was played by Tom Welling. Although Tom denied getting into Supes costume, Rosenbaum is ready to taken on the character yet again if approached.

Breaking Bad star Brian Cranston was a favourite amongst the crowd after 'Br Ba' ended. But he denied the rumors. Although he may play a great Luthor!

Then there are Billy Zane, and the Superman Begins Luthor Kevin Costner, but I dunno if Costner may get on board with another Superman movie.

Also, ther is no character that the Rock cannot play. This guy s a one man army. Luthor suits him as well.

There is also the 'One who must not be named' aka Voldemort - Ralph Fiennes, who can take on the character.

Mark Strong has played great roles, and provided raw strength to his characters in movies such as Kickass, Sherlock Holmes, etc. playing the villain. So yeah, he is in the list as well.

Last but not the least is Stanley Tucci. He has played great roles in the past, and he may be a fresh breath of air to this rebooting DC universe.

Ben Affleck IS Batman

Yup! It is official guys and gals, Ben Affleck will be Batman aka Bruce Wayne in the upcoming 'Superman/Batman' movie, the sequel to 'Man of Steel'.

Now, let the internet awaken, and the criticism monsters arise, and let twitterdom and the fanboys unleash their opinions...

How would he look as Batman? Beneath the mask?
I think he will be pretty good with this! Yeah I know, it's surprising to say so, but you ever know.

My reasons are as follows:
1. Majority of the time he will be behind the mask in the movie.
2. In some of the fight sequences he will be animated.
3. For stunts there will be a double.
4. He can easily carry off a Billionaire playboy image.
5. He CAN act serious.
6. He can imitate a better Batman voice that what Bale did in the Dark Knight trilogy.
7. He is old enough to portray a middle aged Batman who has the experience to beat Batman.
8. He may prove to be a better Batman!
9. He has experienced the superhero genre as 'Daredevil'.
10. Most of all, he is determined to silence those who criticised him in Daredevil.

When Christian Bale said he won't be playing Batman, Ben Affleck was the first name that I had in mind, and I seriously want to see if this guy can do it! If I'd been there, I would have surely given him a chance.

P.S. EVERYONE FORGETS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HEATH LEDGER WAS CAST AS THE JOKER!!!

Superman/Batman - LOGO

DC has released the official image for the Superman/Batman movie:

Still takes my breath away... WOW!

*When? 2015

*What will the movie be called? Not yet decided. David Goyer says that the name may include 'versus' in its title.

*Who is directing? Zack Snyder is returning to direct the sequel, and the cast from Man of Steel - Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane - are set to reprise their roles.

*Who will play Batman? Not Christian Bale, as he stepped down after The Dark Knight Rises. So, only time will tell...

*Who is scripting/writing it? David S. Goyer returns for the sequel.

Man of Steel - Sequel announced

The sequel to Man of Steel has been announced at SDCC 2013, by Zack Snyder...

And the movie is "Superman/Batman", to be released in 2015.

Ever since DC started off with Man of Steel, everyone was kind of hoping that DC would eventually get to the making of a Justice League movie. Speculations were everywhere as to who, why and how, but the main question remained WHEN?

It seems that things may be looking positive, and we may expect a Justice League movie in the future.
