iMovieCritic #1

Now, it is becoming a trend to criticize.
EVERYONE is a critic nowadays!

There is a new movie in the cinemas, hmmmm... "Let's watch it and write reviews!"
"Let's compare it to other movies!"
"Let's just watch it to mock it!"

Rightly so, they are not wrong.

Imitation or mimicry in any form leads to curiosity in the minds of an observer.

Movies are the most recent obsession with people! With globalization, the Internet, and the piracy of movies via p2p networks, torrents, etc. (which is already an issue of debate), one has easy access to a lot of media content these days. Thus leading to availability of content to compare your theories and doubts to.

Let a movie be released and you are already being told how the movie is, what it is compared to, reviews, and what not! Instead of you watching the movie on your own, you believe in what others say. How stupid is that?

Some watch it for a director, some for the animation, some for fun, for favorite actors, etc. There are also many who just want to have a good time! But if you take peoples words for what movies you should watch and what you should not, it is silly. I have faced this on many accounts, and later when I saw these movies on cable t.v., I thought why didn't I see this in the theatre?

Many people are just wannabes! They just want to show off! Yup! Everyone has that one friend who wants to show off, that they know everything about movies and all. But, the fact of the matter is that they are just saying what they heard from everyone without using their own mind!

They just either go to IMDB, and watch movies according to ratings.
or read about the directors online and accordingly watch movies,
or listen to the so called 'Movie critics',
or simply just go with what the others have to say.
