Dabangg 2
So, Dabangg gets a sequel and how!
Dabangg 2 continues with the storyline of 'Dabangg'. The cast remains the same, with Prakash Raj as the antagonist, and follows the advetures of a now married 'Chulbul (Robinhood) Pandey'. Abhinav Kashyap denied directing the sequel, and thus has been directed by Arbaaz Khan.
Sajid-Wajid returned with their crazy tracks, and delivered. 'Fevicol' was the item song used in this movie. The music became widely popular due to some nice tracks.
The dialogues stay cheesy and funny throughout the movie. The plus point for this sequel for this movie was the action, it was quiet unique, (and unseen), as compared to the previous which had the opening scene copied from 'The Transporter'. Of course, there was an action scene here, that resembles the one in 'The Matrix' movies.
In terms of acting, Salman Khan potrays the same character without any loss in quality. But, the sad part is, that Prakash Raj, is a waste in this movie. There are not enough scenes, dialogues, confrontations that may show his calibre. They might as well have taken someone else and spared the cost.
The movie isn't that great as compared to the previous one. Although the other characters play their part sincerely, they have not been focused or worked upon much like the previous movie. It has worked based solely upon its star-power. 'Dabangg' and 'Salman Khan' are the greatest assets of this movie. Replace them with someone else, and the movie is a dud! Of course I'm comparing the movie with its predecessor and who wouldn't. After a brilliant movie like 'Dabangg', you expect much much more from it's sequel.
The best part in the movie was when Chulbul Pandey is referred to as 'Kung Fu Pandey'. That was innovative! :D
This movie is a one time watch!
